92% of global CEOs accelerate investment in digital transformation and early warning systems in wake of pandemic

The arrival of COVID-19 has undoubtedly had an impact on us as a society. Sanitary measures such as social distancing and quarantines have changed our habits and many companies have found it necessary to change the way they work. Accelerating digital transformation.

Thus, according to a study by Accenture, 92% of CEOs worldwide are accelerating their investments in digital transformation and 74% said they plan to completely rethink their processes and operating models to become more resilient.

As Rosario Castro, Executive Director of Strategy & Consulting at Accenture Chile, explained to El Diario Sustentable: “Many organizations are taking advantage of the opportunity for change that the pandemic has driven to build competencies that will help them emerge stronger, to become more digital.”

She says: “More than ever, as companies correct course again and again, their competitive success will be determined by their ability to predict and prepare, detect and respond. Those that accelerate their digital transformation, embracing cloud, artificial intelligence, analytics, flexible IT infrastructure and intelligent operations, will be better positioned to lead with the right information and agility in the new Never Normal scenario facing business and society as a result of COVID-19.”

In this sense, SIGEA has much to contribute, since it is a platform designed for management and control that adapts to all the realities and needs that may arise in different industrial sectors.

César Barra, Innovation and Projects Manager at Gisma-sigea, maintains that in this process it is important to consider that “it is the technological tools that must adapt to the companies’ procedures and not the companies adapting to the platforms”.

“SIGEA operates in a cloud environment such as SaaS, with the most high industry standardsIn this way, we alleviate a lot of work and pressure on IT teams in the digital transformation process, since SIGEA has already solved almost all security, integration and technology requirements,” he added.

Implementing SIGEA-level software allows for the revision and standardization of the company’s existing management procedures.

“We strongly support the development and improvement of what is not available or what is perfectible, so that the platform operates in accordance and complete harmony with the company’s procedures and the way it operates.”

Finally, software such as ours is an essential support in the digital transformation process on the technological side and in the installation of management and control procedures, and has become a key solution in the challenging scenario of 2020.

SIGEA also has the advantage of being a world-class platform that consolidates compliance management throughout the company, operating from top management to make informed decisions, with real-time data entered in an agile and dynamic way by those at the operational levels.

At SIGEA we are convinced that digital transformation does not only involve the implementation of new tools, Rather, it is a definition of procedures that must be supported by the inclusion of technological platforms, and we agree on the urgency of implementing them in the face of such uncertain scenarios as the one that the pandemic has shown us.
