In line with its internationalization strategy, SIGEA Software launched a technology pilot in Spain in partnership with a recycling company, aimed at strengthening the digital management of environmental permits, obligations, and commitments through a platform that centralizes critical information, improves document traceability, and facilitates the monitoring of compliance processes.

This initiative is part of the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, an initiative that promotes collaboration among innovative companies in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean to address technological challenges with business implications. The project is supported by the EUBIC Innovation Community and BIC Euronova—the European Business and Innovation Center in Málaga—which has facilitated the implementation of the initiative in Spain.

In this context, having systems that integrate environmental information and enable traceable management becomes a strategic factor in reducing operational risks and responding promptly to regulatory requirements.

What is it?

The pilot project aims to digitize the management cycle for environmental permits and commitments, with the goal of centralizing critical information, automating the tracking of regulatory obligations, and strengthening process traceability. Among the expected results are a projected reduction of between 60% and 80% in the effort associated with manually reviewing permits and monitoring compliance; a reduction of more than 70% in the time required to identify regulatory obligations; and a reduction of up to 90% in missed deadlines and errors associated with reporting and monitoring processes.

Likewise, the goal is to move toward data-driven management, where information is no longer used in isolation but becomes an effective tool for decision-making.
